CHANGE

Well, our discussion of liturgy has been interesting for some (and thank you all for your contributions) but it seems to have failed to grab the attention of a significant portion of the parish. Perhaps blog discussions are never going to attract a huge following but I'm going to test the waters again by changing the direction of discussion towards climate change. Following on from Stan Dunwell's presentations at church on climate change its important that the whole parish grapples seriously with the issues from a Christian perspective. The intergity and sustainability of God's creation is someting that all Christians should be deeply concerned about. We need to be informed and prepared to act. The challenge with reducing carbon emissions is that it requires sacrifices in our lifestyle. These sacrifices are not going to be easy but someone has to show the way. Are Christians natural leaders in sacrificial action for the common good and what would this look like when it comes to reducing emissions? What do you think?
