I met with a group of theological students at All Saints on thursday 28th July. They were visiting various sites of significance around the diocese and decided to start where it all began! We discussed the history of All Saints and the Swan Parish as well as the challenges of having old church buildings in the modern era and moving from a traditionally agricultural environment into one of the fastest growing urban areas.
Later, I met with a group of school students from the Swan Valley Anglican Community School - at St. Mary's this time. They were studying the design and use of symbolism in church buildings. I learnt a lot!. in both cases we were limited in what we could do outside in the grounds because of the heavy rain, but no one is complaining about that.
