This post is inviting anyone from our parish community to share good news or gossip. It may seem strange to encourage gossip but lets face it, that's what we're all interested in!
The gossip must, of course, also be good, and only about yourself not others. I hope this is something people will catch on to as a way to share some of the positive stories from their own lives or from our parish. There are a couple of good news stories below to get you going with photos on the side bar.
If you have good news or good gossip just click on "comments" immediately below, leave your story and sign with your first name. Enjoy!

Cool idea Stuart! By the way, love the profile pic for the blog - very warm and cuddly!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently a census collector and my area supervisor has told me that I have been the leader in terms of the most completed eCensus forms (online) out of all the collectors in the area - which is a positive thing.

Does that count as gossip, or has that gone over people's heads?
I was very encouraged at the International Food Night by the willing involvement of the parish to volunteer their talents to entertain spontaneously on the night. Such talent there was too from Malawi folk songs by the Mpikamezo family quartet, hymns from the church choir, Stan the man Rapper, Evas relatives Haka and some Indian dancing by the strong, culturally dressed Indian contingent (including an aussie wannabe - me). It was good to see people enjoying themselves by owning the night for themselves. Good vibes all around.
ReplyDeleteHi All, Josephine has some " Good news " (as mum I am scribing for her) : Hello everyone, I got first place in my piano eisteddfod section today. I played "Jingle Bells" and wore my red Dora dress and special red and white headband with my new black shoes from my Grandma. Also I was a Jillaroo in my School music concert on Wednesday. I loved it , our song was "Exterminate". it was about Blow flies.Esme came to watch me too. Last week I had my sports carnival and it was so much fun, my favorite was the obstacle course.Lots of love Josephine. ( We have photos that we are sending to Rev. Fenner because mum dosen't know how to attach them to our blog entry !)
ReplyDeleteSteve, I just want to say that I really enjoyed the International Food Night. Thanks for organising it - it was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteDid you miss the McEwen family at St.Marys last Sunday? We were praising God in a different way.. from the summit - 1094m, of Bluff Knoll in the Stirling Range - all four of us. Jessica (9) and Jairus (4) were 'little legends' making is to the top (and bottom!) carrying their own food, drinks etc. It was a 6hr round trip and the views from the top were spectacular.
ReplyDeleteGo McEwens!!!!! So much closer to God and in such a magnificent environment!!! Huggs and prayers Sarah
