In our recent reading/sermon on Romans 12:9-21 I was intrigued by the interpretation in vs.17 & not found in other versions. It reads take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. Puzzling I thought. It is not by accident that the NT was penned in the very precise Greek language. Noble is taken from the Greek kalos meaning beautiful, good, worthy…further defined as an outward sign of these inward qualities that inspires others to embrace what is praiseworthy. A challenge indeed.
